Train station in Stroud, 2 miles away.Gt Western trains 90 mins London
Local pub-a short walk down the road,its ok but I really like the Half Way at Box(just won a Cotswolds Dining pub of the Year 2007 It is a slightly longer walk up hill and onto Minchinhampton common, but great to just roll home.
Newsagents-a walk down to the road but steepish climb back up.
Childrens playground is an easy walk away with football goals,basket ball net,zip wire ,and ‘little peoples’ swings etc too.
Golf-on the common amongst the free roaming cows.
Winstones homemade icecream is on a lovely walk with great views from the cottages.
Canal Restoration just down the road is Brimscombe Port, the old tow path and old mills. One day it will have canal boats leisurely drifting by. Makes for a pleasant walk or cycle into Stroud
