Where are we
Delicatessen, bakers etc are to be found in Nailsworth and Stroud,plus the Oyster Bar in Williams Kitchen is good.
Waitrose is 4 minutes/ 2 miles from our Cotswolds holiday cottages on the way in to Stroud-
Cinema and 10 pin bowling -2 miles away in Stroud. Cinema is new with very comfy seats
Local pubs-a short walk down the road,its ok but I really like the pubs on the common.We walk there and back but I would only really advise that in the summer and there is a steep hill and boots needed over the common. Leave car and get a taxi home is probably better!!
Newsagents-a walk down to the road but steepish climb back up.
Childrens playground is an easy walk away with football goals,basket ball net,zip wire ,and ‘little peoples’ swings etc too.
Golf-a public course on the common amongst the free roaming cows.£20 a round I think?
Canal Restoration just down the road is Brimscombe Port, the old tow path and old mills. One day it will have canal boats leisurely drifting by. Makes for a pleasant walk or cycle into Stroud
Award winningFarmers Market in Stroud (as recommended by Rick Stein)is every Saturday from 9 til 2 and is excellent for freshly grown, organic produce.
Train station in Stroud, 2 miles away.Gt Western trains 90 mins London Paddington direct.
Winstones homemade icecream ,all year round is on a lovely walk with great views from the cottages.

With Stroud and Nailsworth just 2 miles away you will be able to enjoy locally farmed produce. Stroud with its award winning Farmers Market every Saturday morning and Shambles market on Wednesday and Friday and Nailsworth every 3rd Saturday in the month. Stroud Farmers Market has a continental atmosphere with buzzing streets and colourful stalls. There is a deli and good butchers ,bakers can all be found locally.
